I specialise as a branding photographer, drawing inspiration from my own experience and understanding through the wearing of many hats required for life as a family business owner at Wellington Wood along with my photography work and family.
You’re never just one thing as a business owner, so I take great joy in creating images to show the many aspects and hats worn by the amazing people and businesses I work with.
A shaggy dog story of business life…
Growing up in a family with generations of business owners, those little flashes of childhood entrepreneur seemed pretty normal; selling my arty crafts at school, taking photos of friends then framing and selling them to their parents, still hanging on their walls today, starting the school Tuck Shop to fund school discos – ground-breaking stuff back then!
After Uni, travel adventures and graduate working life, my homing pigeon instincts to fly and work for myself were just too strong. I knew deep down everything work-wise that I truly loved to do was anchored in a small business owner world, a creative compass that was well and truly set from childhood to navigate me ‘home’. Since then, I’ve had my own business as well a family business Wellington Wood.
I’ve worked as a family, school and wedding photographer and now use this experience and expertise to specialise as a branding photographer to help the local business community.
The combination of photography for businesses is the sweet spot for me. It combines the best of my skills and experience to serve the small and mighty businesses whose life I know and understand. All those soul-driven businesses whose impact is so positive, bringing so much to the community they work in – creating the branding photos they need to speak volumes about them to make a difference for them in their business.
